This system is designed as a standalone filter for the immediate removal of chlorine and sediment from water. It is rated to remove up to 99% of chlorine and can clean up to 90% of sediment above 5 microns. Having chlorine- and sediment-free water is essential for growing healthy plants and maintaining beneficial microorganisms, bacteria and fungi in the root zone and growing media. These microbes cannot survive in the presence of chlorine. Chlorine-free water is also essential for organic fruit and vegetables, hydroponics and every method of organic gardening in general. This filter is not designed to reduce the parts per million (PPM) of your water. Most of these PPM particles are minerals, which can only be removed by reverse osmosis systems.

REMOVES: chlorine, sediment, dirt, rust, oxidising herbicides and pesticides, volatile organic contaminants (chemical contaminants, benzenes, toluene, oils, trihalomethanes, detergents, polychlorinated biphenyls)

When to replace the filters:

• Sediment filter - approximately every 8000 litres of treated water or when clogged
• carbon filter – approximately every 25000 litres of treated water or according to its use (see the example below*)

*Example use:

• 1 hour per week (3200 L/month) - replace the filter 1 time every 8 months
• 1 hour per day, 4 days per week (12800 L/month) - replace the filter 1 time every 2 months
• 1 hour per day, every day (24000 L/month) - replace the filter every month
• 30 minutes per day, every day (12000 L/month) - replace the filter 1 time every 2 months

*Replacement time is relative, as it depends on the hardness of the water you use.
