DiSTs are rugged and reliable pocket testers that offer fast and accurate conductivity readings. The DiST® family of testers are widely used for EC monitoring in drinking water, air conditioning systems, reverse osmosis systems, cooling towers, waste water, laboratories, agriculture, aquaculture and aquariums, hydroponics and the printing industry. These testers feature an amperometric graphite electrode that provides better reliability in measurements because the electrodes do not oxidize. The amperometric measurement of EC is based on Ohm's law, I = V / R, where R depends on the distance between the two electrodes and their surface. Oxidation changes both, which will affect accuracy. DiSTs non-oxidizing graphite electrodes are able to provide an optimal surface for accurate, reliable results. When calibration is required, simply dip the electrode tip into the calibration solution and adjust.
