Soils and Pots

After lighting and air conditioning, soils are the most important part of growing plants. The introduction of new techniques such as aeroponics and hydroponics for cultivation requires many improvements in soils and pots.

Therefore, Urban Botaniks tries to maintain a wide variety of standard and specialized soils (Light and All Mix), pots (Air Pods, containers for outdoor and indoor cultivation, soft pots for seedlings), and substrates (coconut presses, hydro coconut substrate, perlite, vermiculite, expanded clay). In the subcategory "others" you can find support nets, which are brackets for bending your plants, as well as bamboo and PVC pegs.

The pot is an integral part of the cultivation of all types of plants, so we at Urban Botaniks offer you the following types:    For outdoor cultivation, we recommend larger containers of 14 to 50 liters, their purpose is to keep supplements close to the roots, not to leak into the environment. For indoor cultivation, the choice is large plastic - from 0.5 to 50 liters, <a href="https://www.urbanbotaniks.com/en/category/65/extile-pots.html">textile </a>from 0.5 to 35 liters, and here we would recommend <a href="https://www.urbanbotaniks.com/en/category/64/air-pot.html">Air Pods</a> - because they provide more oxygen to your roots and therefore the plants grow better. Soft pots for seedlings - their plastic is suitable for easier transplanting without having to cut it and thus damage the root system. <div> </div>

Different soil types provide different drainage levels, acid values (PH), and electrical conductivity (EC). Every manufacturer such as BioBizz, Plagron, and Canna also offers various enrichments, nutritional supplements, and moisturizers such as perlite, vermiculite, pumice, etc. added to the soil itself. The poorer substrates are Lightmix, and the enriched series are All-Mix or Professional. We also offer 100% organic humus processed by earthworms which are added to your chosen substrate in a ratio of 1:10.

Vermiculite - a naturally soft and porous material, has a high cation exchange - this helps the gradual release of nutrients. Suitable for seedling substrates. Aquaclay - is produced from special types of clay that have a low dissolved salt content. It is therefore particularly suitable for use in closed hydroponic plant growing systems. <div> </div>
