Dimlux temperature sensor

The Dimlux temperature sensor allows the Dimlux Maxi Controller to dim the lights based on the ambient temperature in the grow room. If the set value is exceeded, the lights will dim to keep the temperature under control. If the temperature remains elevated despite dimming, half of the dimmed lights will be turned off in a checkerboard pattern. If the temperature continues to rise, all lights will be turned off for at least 20 minutes .

Dimlux temperature sensor
Dimlux temperature sensor

The Dimlux Temperature Sensor (for the Dimlux Maxi Controller ) is an optional accessory that is an absolute must for any professional indoor plant growing facility. The main function of this product is to feed accurate real-time data about the climate in the grow room back to the on-board computer of the Dimlux Maxi Controller . Using this sensor, lights can be dimmed according to temperature-specific data. This sensor is also needed to calculate VPD* and possibly turn on heating or a heater.

  1. What is vapor pressure deficit (VPD)? The vapor pressure deficit is the difference between the water vapor pressure in 100% saturated air at a given temperature ( leaf water vapor pressure ) and the actual water vapor pressure in the air . A high VPD value increases the plant's rate of transpiration (moisture release through the leaves) and increases the movement of nutrients through the xylem of the plant, while a low VPD value slows the movement of nutrients through the plant.
